This was on the front page of the san mateo daily journal this morning, what kind of gun is it?

looks like, from right to left, a Calico, a "Topper" or similar H and R break top shotgun, some kind of AR 7 derived pistol (ETA "Explorer II"), and a pepperbox type derringer.

Nope, that's a spare magazine, never handled one, but that's either 50 or 100 more 9mm ready to rock. Neat little system, not sure how reliable they are.

Doesn't matter really, it's still not an assault weapon due to it being rimfire.
