    Did some shooting in VA.

I went out to the eastern shore of Virginia to visit my dad. The eastern shore is actually not even attached to Virginia - it's connected to Maryland. Anyways, my dad's got a bunch of land out there, and has his own shooting range - a window in barn with a stool and a block of wood for a rest:

Got to shoot several guns from his collection of probably between 100-150 firearms.

    Here's a shot of my and dad - I've got an M1 .30 Carbine w/ 25rd mag, and he's got a single-shot break action 45-70 (After doing some searching, it looks like it's a trapdoor carbine - circa 1890's):

    He's even got a cannon!:

Didn't get to shoot that one, though.

Exploding 12 ga rounds were pretty cool:

    Some videos:
Exploding targets and my first time shooting a .44 mag:

    Some clay shooting:

        he's got a single-shot break action 45-70 (can't remember make/model)
Looks like a 1873 trapdoor carbine carried by Custer's 7th Cav. at Little Big Horn.

I hadn't seen him for over 15 years, but it was nice to spend a week at his place. I had never been to VA before. It's a place that I could definitely get used to.

And he even gave me one of his guns - actually, he gave it to my wife...The Winchester Model 12 20ga w/ the polychoke that I was shooting at the end of the "Clays" video.
