finish ar build or buy another gun

So I have my lower already and lpk on the way. Now I feel like the wait for parts is ridiculous and am contemplating either buying a mossberg 590 or a beretta m9? Should I just finish the rifle or move forward with another purchase?

I'm in the same boat. With the extreme high prices on AR parts, i'm putting it on the back burner for now.

Do all at the same time!

Seriously, I would hold off on the handgun and get the Mossberg because after 1/1/14, it will be registered with The Cal DOJ. That is, purchases after this date for longguns gets reported to them.

In the meantime, wait for a good deal on an upper to complete your rifle.

Put the AR on the back burner.
Do you own any handguns yet? If not get the 92FS or M9!
        Great guns!
If you have a handgun then move onto the 590 (or 870 )
Either way you will still have something you can shoot instead of just parts.

Heh, I'm in the opposite boat.... I have all of my AR parts but too lazy & busy to build it all up

But I like what somebody else mentioned, where long guns will require registration in Jan 2014 (for now), so I would get what you can now and then worry about a handgun later.

^ If your in Ventura area, I will build it for you. Drop me a PM.

I say you got the lower, you can hold off building the whole rifle till later. There is such a slim chance any wording of an AWB will include "working rifle is grandfathered" that I wouldnt think a lower would be treated any different then a complete rifle.

Get the M9 or the Moss 500.

widen your search. They are out there. You just have to be willing to drive.
