    Gun buy back question

Any idea what would happen if gun collectors or dealers went to a gun buy back with a wad of cash to cherry pick what was being turned in?

I guess we would have to convince the current owner to accompany us to an FFL for the DROS, or an FFL could set up shop just like they do at a gun show.

I'm guessing that the agency wouldn't like it but could they do anything about it?

A friend at work, who is a big avid fisherman, was telling me a fishing buddy of his he knew years ago, was a cop and during the gun buy backs, after things were over, the leo's were able to pick over the nice ones; rifles and handguns and then toss the sat. nite specials into the fire.
he was telling me there are alot of nice guns out there in their own safes at home
Can you believe some 80something year old grandpa saying he had this old rifle in the attic for the past 40yrs and bought it in the 40's or 50's and didnt use it and didnt want it to get in the hands of his grandkids. Hell get a safe or put a lock on the damn thing. The gun was probably work over $1000 on the various online auctions. Could have been a very fine engraved shotgun made in England!

Call me crazy, but I'm suspecting that the people going to gun buybacks for their $100 Walmart gift cards didn't exactly obtain all their guns legally. Many of the guns turned in are malfunctioning or are broken.

You might also get popped by the local PD for conducting business without a business license.
