Got here at 6:30 am. I knew i was already late before i walked out my door this morning. Line was about half a mile long by the time i got to the end of it. Picking up an upper for 308 from bigshot to avoid the drive down to sd and also praying that i can find some 308 pmags for under $50... recently talked to a vendor i met at the last oc show and he quoted me $70/308 pmag w/ a minimum 2 mag purchase if bought before the show.. that is just stupid being that they were $25/mag in december... are you guys seeing the same offers? Can only hope for the best and expect the worst

Yea no rush for me.. just need a couple mags for my build that started 6 months ago.. pretty much the worst timing to do this for the "cheapest" part to complere the build... fml

Guy i just talked to in line said he got 10 pmags thru gunbroker.. paid a whopping... wait for it... $1300.00 thats nearly double/mag what i was quoted.. wtmf!!

Holy crap^^^ guns, parts, and ammo are the new stock market. Just don't understand why more machine shops and plastic moulding companies making parts aren't popping up or why the current makers have been back logged for over a year, seems like bad business practice. Maybe just driving prices with low inventory, like apple

I'm in line now, ITS CRAZY!! the line to get in is now at the back fence of the parking lot. It snakes through each parking isle. It's gotta literally got to be a mile long. I predict where I'm standing, it will be an hour n a half, maybe 2 hours to get in.

Knew it was gonna be bad, which is why I made no plans to attend.

Ammo is probably ridiculous and that's all I'd be interested in anyway.

I got in line at 0530 this morning and at 0641 I walked back home. I realized exactly what you just said. Why stand there for the chance to MAYBE get hosed on price gouged ammo.

And in that regard, prices are coming down online as sources become available. Just bought 6 10-round Stainless Steel .308 DPMS AR mags for 1/3rd the price they are going at these gun shows- $23.95 - at "pre-panic" pricing because pre-panic I checked the price.

Ammo too, among other things. I can only imagine the shows would be depleted from the second the doors open; limited supplies, and they are mostly supported by small dealers within limited resources. Gun shows are great for C&R stuff, C&R parts, hard-to-find parts or antique ammo; or using them as a pick-up source instead of shipping when buying from someone. But I haven't much desire to attend gun shows anymore. I'll only go if it's convenient, but you couldn't drag me to any recent shows due to the crowding.

Primarily? I suspect the gun shows are being overrun by the newbie, NON-gun enthusiast crowd suddenly having a panic in that they think a gun show is their only best source for guns, or for good prices that beats brick-and-mortar dealers, or that they'll find things at gun shows that can't be had online or in traditional gun stores. OR they are hitting the guns shows because they stood in line at a gun store for hours and came up empty on an AR or ammo.

They'll learn, and things will settle back to normal after around 2/15. Things are already coming back into supply, prices dropping - just as I said they would as I predicted more than a month ago.
