seems like prices are slowly going back down..

im not sure if its just me, but im starting to notice more lower parts kits and lowers for sale at more reasonable prices. im not saying a lower parts kit is still 60 bucks but its not the 200.00 i was seeing a few weeks ago. same with lowers, starting to see them for sale in the 300's rather than the 500's. uppers, bcgs, and ammo is still at a high. i think vendors are catching up on alot of orders too.

i think pople are starting to make a stand and making it clear that they wont pay these outrageous prices and turning this into a buyers market.

    what do you think?

I just bought a stag LPK for 60. I think panic is starting to wane a little.

Colt 6920's are going for about $2000 on gunbroker now when they were $3000 not too long ago. It is starting to settle down a bit.

But...I am still seeing S&W M&P 15 Sports selling for $1800...seems like it is still high right now.

I intend to do my part and keep prices going low by selling my new lower, LPK and receiver all for what I paid for. (which weren't all that much)

I have an AR now and really see no use for two, seeing as I'm not Arnold and can't shoot two at the same time.

People are realizing the AWB is DOA.

A lot of the panic buying was based on sheer uncertainty of what the anti-gun lobby would do post-Newtown. Before Obama signed those EOs and Biden's task force spoke out about their findings, we had no idea what to expect as gun owners. The panic happened because millions of people thought "what if this is it?" and acted accordingly. Better to max out the credit card and buy an AR15 now then to be caught on the other side of some crazy Europe-style gun control system.

Now that Obama's signed his EOs, Biden's had his 15 minutes and Feinstein's ban is already going down in flames, people collectively are standing down from "Code Red" now that the anti's have spoken their peace.

From here on out, there aren't any more surprises coming from D.C. Once Feinsteins AWB and other anti-gun bills have been voted down at the Federal level, that'll be when "The Glut" happens as people cancel backorders and sell rifles for more immediate concerns like a new iPad and shoes for the wife.
The more prohibitions you have, the less virtuous people will be.
The more subsidies you have, the less self reliant people will be.

That's only if the economy doesn't tank.

                      I'd disagree.

If the economy hits the pooper MORE ARs will be hitting the secondary market.

Here's why. On the Hierarchy List of Needs for most households, black rifles are fairly far down on the list under Mortgage/ Rent, Child support/alimony/legally mandated expenses, food, functional automobile, paid up car loan or lease, etc.

Without the pressure of an imminent ban and facing an immediate need to put food on the table, most people will trade their AR15s as fast as they can for money or useable goods. That's not academic discussion for me either, as that's what happened to me last year when I lost my job unexpectedly. Had to sell my black rifle to pay the rent.

I think its going down not because of politics but because everyone has items priced high. When all items are priced high, there is competition to sell it quick which results in lower prices.

AR's have finally become full blown "men's barbie dolls" now with fashion accessories.

Only thing it did was keep me from shooting ONE weekend so far. Not giving in, not buying anything big.
