    CMP & Calgunners

Now I'm curious - how many Calgunners have done any of the following: bought something from CMP, submitted proof of CMP eligibility requirements, or participated in a CMP program/competition?

I've already purchased two M1 Garands, a muzzle wear gauge, and I'll probably buy a case of Greek .30-06 since I found a place where I could shoot it.

            I've made multiple CMP purchases.

I believe the CMP to represent the best firearms deal in the country. They sell outstanding rifles and each is a piece of history.

I haven't shot a CMP event (my DD-214 and C&R took care of the the shooting requirement). But, I would shoot a CMO event. It sounds fun.

I had shot a high power rifle match at the San Gabriel Valley Gun Club about 10 years ago just to qualify for the CMP but never sent the paperwork in. About 5 years ago I found out my USPSA qualification card qualified for the marksmanship requirement and went ahead and sent in my paperwork. It is even easier now with their form you can download and have any range officer or even policeman sign proving they witnessed you shooting at a range. Do it.

No and strictly for the reason that what I would be witnessing to would be a lie.

If I didn't know what a US citizen really was then I could partake of this program but since I do know what it is and what its not then I cant.

If the CMP program were open to Citizens of California State I would be happy to partake of it and would most likely have purchased as many rifles as the program would allow pending a limit.

One of these days Ill write them a letter and ask them if State Citizens are in any way eligible.

I plan on competing in a match so I can join the CMP and get an M1.

Actually no #9K post was used on a tribute thread to myself.

something prior to 9K must have been zapped, Although I thought I have been rather tame in the last 25-50 posts or so.

Maybe a thread I posted in was deleted or temp deleted I dunno.

Im still waiting for my Garand. It's been nearly two months.

I used my DD214 and American Legion membership to meet the requirements.

A coupla of Garands, a coupla of H&R M12's, a Mossberg 44US, and a bunch of ammo. The CMP is the best place to buy a Garand !
