I've already lawyered up. I know enough that making a statement to law enforcement is only to get evidence against you. I laugh at the fools who submit to a field sobriety test, it only gives the cops more evidence against you.

I've left a message at the Cal Gun Foundation Hotline. Waiting to hear back. I just filled out the CA DOJ form for a background check to get my guns back. I know that is the first step.

sfbay, I've been to the LCSO on Tuesday. They didn't arrest me and they gave me a civil standby so I could get my clothes from my house. The only way I could be arrested is if I get charged with a crime. Right now, my wife is being cool and not wanting me charged. However, the alleged victim of DV has no say in whether or not charges are filed.

Don't Waste your time on this site - LAWYER UP or you can possibly never see your firearms again AND possibly get marked as an evil DV doer...

If they let you do a civil stand by and didn't arrest you then your pretty much clear until the DA reviews it. But, if they didn't feel they had enough probable cause to on-view arrest you when they saw you the DA will tose it.

I'm sorry your going through this. I don't know your circumstances, but i hope things work out for you.

If you've already lawyered up and your counsel is competent you ought to follow his guidance and quit with the legal advice on the internet thing here. Also, email CGF: hotline@calgunsfoundation.org
