    Ammo Bros...WTF

I saw a Stag Model 4 for around $1,200 and a Rock River 20" Varmint A4 with badger tac latch, Leupold scope, and rings for $1,300. I wonder if it's an overpriced Stag or a Rock River that I should snatch up.

I think that is one of their demo models. If i'm not mistaken, it has the RRA nat'l match trigger group, and a sweet leopold. You could probably shave a few bucks shopping all over tarnation, then doing your own build. But what is your time worth? Seems pretty fair to me. I say snap it up. But then I say snap it up to all black rifles...i am powerless to resist.

    black rifle disease...spread it!

That Stag is not overpriced. Stag's cannot be ordered direct so they must be shipped to a middle man out of state for one shipping charge, disassembled for a fee, then shipped to the dealer for another shipping charge. You most certainly can build AR15s in this state cheaper than you can buy complete rifles. $1200 for a Stag 4 (as long as it has the CA compliance parts included) is not a bad price.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

Build up your own AR and then gradualy buy all the required parts and you will see the final price will be around there... Right now the sexy package is the Sig 556...

FYI. I am a huge fan of Ammo Bros. Great service, great selection of long guns and AR parts/accessories, and great prices (for California of course).

most retail shops are overpriced, i like ammo bros, but they are on the high side of prices, and j&j's prices are even higher and metroshot the absolute worse.

but that is the price you pay for being able to walk in and fondle before you purchase. yeah they're friendly, that's great, but being bent over with a smile is still being bent over, and i'm no fayle, keep your shmeckle to yourself

i'll stick to my lower priced net dealers.
