Is *Everything* Sold Out?

Have to admit, haven't been out to a gun shop in a few weeks, since I sprung my M48 and a little H&R single shot from 10 day.

The shelves were empty then, but it was right after Christmas.

So is literally everything being bought up?

Was going to go back for a Super Redhawk and it was gone. Generally not a gun that moves fast...elsewhere I read someone saying even Nagant revolvers were in short supply... generally not a fast mover with that odd cartridge. (Was hoping to get one anyway, LOL! Would really like one in pristine shape.)

So is literally like duct tape and distilled water before a hurricane in Florida... shelves empty?

One shop told me that Ruger was backed up for 6 months. That surprised me, to say the least.

Geez I hate that kind of BS. I remember the first ban and watching prices go way up on guns I'd not have even thought much about, like Cobray M11/9's and such, not to mention the AK variants and such.

Saw this guy picking out a shotgun and calling everything he pointed out an assault rifle. Showing how regulation really works, it makes dumb dumbs go out and buy a gun.

Too bad I'm too broke because of school to buy anything.

sgammo puts up small quantities almost daily (as many online retailers do I suppose) but you have to check early and often as it goes very quick.

Just look in the places the sheep don't go.

That is not true. Reloading components for .223 are in and out (I just got a box Friday with 1000 .55 grain .224 projectiles I purchased from Natchez the week before.) Walked in to Turners and bought 2000 small rifle primers a week ago, purchased 2 pounds of varget from another local store about 2 weeks ago. Hell, I just bought a set of RCBS .223 dies last week from Cableas (my order arrives tomorrow).

Maybe you haven't been looking hard enough, I can't say I've had to really go out of my way to purchase anything in terms of reloading supplies that I wanted to buy in the last few weeks. 1 exception, a lee factory crimp die for .223 - can't find that anwywhere.

I can find all the .44 / .45 / 9mm / 308 supplies I want.

I can find all the .44 / .45 / 9mm / 308 supplies I want.

They are out of stock now.If you look at the major on line retailers of reloading components they are sold out of 224 unless you want 40 gr bullets.
I did find a place that has 45 acp ammo for 17.00 a box in stock.

Nah, there was a couple boxes of .243 and plenty of 30-06!

I am ever so tempted to order some 175 SMKs for my 308 of midway...but I don't have the cash. Real angry. Could use a good 500.
