What's your thoughts on these? Legal or illegal? Really like the idea of acquiring one but don't need any problems with the wrong people. Would it be worth getting one and do you the l.e.o.would flip our seeing it mounted on an ar? I think I would .

I have also thought about getting one. I believe they are legal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I have held an AR with one mounted on it. It adds a lot of weight. Also the 37mm flares and smokes aren't cheap. $12 a pop last time I checked. They make the 26.5 and 12ga inserts but I wouldn't mess with the 12ga insert. The reason I say that is I was told it can be construed as constructive possession. Once again someone correct me if I'm wrong.

12 gauge insert is machined for flares. It won't accept anything else. Perfectly
legal I've had one for years and never used it

Yes, legal as long as you don't use any anti-personnel rounds in it or even possess along with it.

I've wanted one for a while, I just haven't been able to justify the price tag for something I'd probably only use once a year.

I've seen web sites that have fireworks for them in 37mm. A little spendy,but probably a lot of fun in remote areas.
