The last time I was there (the weekend after Christmas), there were a few kids around that age in front of us in line...I don't recall that they were asked if the adult was a parent.

I havent been to that place in years. Last time I went there was a lot of morons shooting into ground, drinking alcohol etc etc. that was about 10yrs ago or more. How is it now? Most folks I know go to Burrough Canyon

Make sure all your guns and mags are Ca. compliant. A while back their was a thread here of people being harassed by the staff for useing legally owned mags and rifles. To the point were it resulted in the cancellation of a planned Calguns shoot to avoid the issue.

I was there Fri and the little buggers were everywhere. The 10 year old next to me shot better than me.

Totally different now. That was the old days, now it is a well run range.

my grand son was able to go and shoot, the range master told me i could not shoot my 1983 M1A that came from the factory with a M 14 style Flash hider.
i stated that it was made that way new. he was nice and let me shoot 10 rounds. still SUCKED.
that darn kid loves the powerful stuff. he will shoot my Mosin M 44 carbine all i will let him. he also put 5 rounds threw the M1A. he loved it.

I would suggest you change the standard M14 flash hider to a modern muzzle brake.
The muzzle brake is Cali legal where the flash hider puts the rifle into the assault rifle category .

It is quite possible the range officer saved you from felony charges .

yup, with a factory flashihider, either you had an illegal AW if you did not specifically register it as an AW in 2000 (your DROS paperwork at the dealer in 1983 is not acceptable), or if it was a RAW, you commited a felony by letting a minor shoot it. In either case, no bueno.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
