Need a refresher on current CA PPT/ammo law

It's been a very (a decade, really) long time since I last did a PPT as seller, so here are a few questions that I'm hoping to find answers for. I did some penal code searching but I'd like to be sure.

    1. How many PPTs per year? It sounds like 6 for handguns, and "infrequent" for others.

    2. Do sales to buyers in other states (ie, selling a gun on Gunbroker) count? It sounds like it doesn't because this isn't a PPT, but not sure.

    3. Are there any restrictions on person to person ammo sales? Ie, if I sell someone a can of 7.62x54r, will I be breaking any laws? It doesn't look like it but want to be sure.

I am NOT in LA city, but am in LA county.

5 sales, any number of guns in a sale.

DOJ seems actually to be reasonable on this - unloading a large collection in a short period of time has, by anecdote, been approved.

You're correct; if you sell out of state, no DROS, so CA doesn't know about it.

Nope, no restrictions so far in 2013. Bills in the legislature may change that later.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
