Anyone else run into this with the NRA?

I called in and joined for life four days ago. I gave them all my credit card info and picked the digital magazine subscription. They still have not charged my card. I called in and was told it takes 24hrs. Well its been three days since then. Should I be worried? Has anyone else ran into this? I called the 1-888-678-7894 number.

When I called in they gave me a new number to call if I did not see it show up. 1-800-672-3888, This number keeps saying "Were sorry all circuits are busy" WTH!

Sometimes it takes a while for a new member, even when they aren't being slammed with like 50k calls a day. Renewal is usually instant though.

I expect it's just the reality that they have a lot of new members to process.

Did they give you your member number over the phone when you called? If so, create an online account to check your status if it will let you. If not call 800 NRA 2000 to speak to a rep to fix your issue.

took me 2 months to get my membership info from them after they billed me. And this was before the sandy crook madness

If you heard a recording at the beginning that said:

You may have dialed the wrong number....

Seriously though, I have heard that they are slammed.

Membership is kicking about 8000+ a day.
8000 a week was considered a huge increase from the monthly gains.

Your infornation may take awhile to get completed, and you have nobody but Sarah Brady and 0bama to thank for it

Looks like my CC has been authorized and while NRA isn't showing up yet- my available balance has changed reflecting my $300 pending charge. Checked my online account a day ago and still says my year membership is about to expire- but I think it'll all update once the charges clear.

As for duffle bags- wait a few months for the frenzy to mellow out and give em a call. Maybe you'll still be able to get one. Haha

Easy fix. Ask to be put on the "do not promote" list. I have never received anything in the mail from them.
