If YOU sent in AW registration paperwork and it is indeed a RAW, you can use any legally owned magazine in it.

If YOU did not send in AW registration paperwork. You are in possession of a felony.

      Hypothetical questions are best.

Well if you have your DOj letter from Bill, then it is a RAW, andd all parts but the registered receiver can be sold in state.

Can't be sold in state. Sell receiver out of state at least. Otherwise sell complete gun out on gun broker out of state

You'll get more money if you part it out and sell the legal components in state. Look at the price uppers are selling for, Armalite is a great brand and you have a complete unfired one. Strip out the lower and sell the internals as a LPK, the buffer, spring, and A2 stock can all be sold together or separate.

In the end its up to you, but given the restrictions on selling a RAW, even out of state, parting out in this market is the way to go, plus you can keep your registered lower and rebuild it later into another legal RAW.

Why can't he bullet button the receiver and no longer make it an AW?

                      1. It may be banned by name and not by features, so BB in that case wont matter.

                      2. If it is not listed, but OLL which was registered, then he can indeed add a BB and get it de-registered. In this case children cry, dogs howl, and some kitten gets kicked in the face. J/k
