Piers Morgan's anti-gun arguments, statistics, demolished in four minutes

During his raucous interview with rabble rouser Alex Jones, CNN’s Piers Morgan unleashed several false gun statistics to show how wonderful his British homeland is for its gun banning ways. B…

In the UK there are 2,034 violent crimes per 100,000 people. That puts it way ahead of even South Africa with a rate of 1,609 per 100,000.
In the United States, we’re not even in the top ten. The U.S. has a violent crime rate of 466 crimes per 100,000 residents.
The United States has more guns than the UK, but the UK's violent crime rate is four times higher.

I don't understand why people care what this guy says...90% of Hollywood says the same thing. The most dangerous place these lies are spoken is on "the View", and Oprah, where many voters get their information...and none of this matters anymore anyway.

STOP falling for the distraction tactics... focus on the real problem and fight the bills that have been placed before congress...ignore the noise from Hollywood.

Well said! They are a large part of the problem with what's going on. "Ignore the noise from Hollywood"!

I must clarify that... RIGHT NOW, IGNORE THE NOISE FROM HOLLYWOOD.. uptil the time the bills are presented we should be fighting them, after the bills hit the floor, we turn our attention to the threat.

Hollywood = threat when no one is writing bills
Bills, regulation and resolutions are the threat when they are present

Dupe, and all Piers Morgan threads go to OT --

CELEBRITIES - internet, television, movie actors, newsreaders, musicians - while influential in forming public opinion, cannot introduce bills or write regulations, make arrests or decide court cases. Stories about celebrity pronouncements or behavior go to OT. If we act as if they are important, they will continue to believe that they are.
