    Sold the AK =(

Well, things have been tough financially lately, and I have been stressed quite a bit with everything going on, so I took around 500 rds and my AK and my Glock out in the boonies with some buddies and went shooting. By the end of the day, all three of my friends had a chance to shoot the AK, and one of them REALLY liked it. He started talking about getting one - in all black - like mine. Anyways, by the end of the day we came to a number figure about twice what the AK is worth.

    I couldn't resist.

So he gave me half the $ yesterday, and when we meet at the DROS next week he will give me the other half. I absolutely loved the AK and told myself I would never part with it. So I am going to spend the next couple days taking a bunch of pictures of it and shooting the remaining 100 rds or so I have before I have to hand it over to the FFL. I figured initially I could take half the money and buy myself another model just like it, but given my financial circumstances lately it probably wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. So I am putting all my $$ into getting my debts paid off, and I figure if I planned everything right, I can have another AK in a couple months from Henderson Defense.

Just thought I would share. Been bumming me out all day, but I have to do it right now. Plus I actually came out nearly twice what the rifle is worth, so I can't be too bummed.

let me get this straight ... you're bummed because you sold something for twice what it's worth and you can get another one at any time because availability isn't a problem....

sorry, don't think you're bummed out.

good sell though, and can i have your buddies number? i want to sell him every gun i own so i can rebuy them again for 1/2 what i'm going to sell them to him for

Well you're in luck because there just so happens to be a few AK's still in circulation.

Yea, I AM bummed. It was my first AK and told myself I would keep it for a very long time. Lot of sentimental value, and if I didn't need the money, I would not have sold it, even for twice the worth. And availability IS a problem with these specific AK's. Everyone knows Henderson Defense is backed up and people are wating months to get theirs. And, no, cant have his number.

Thus a new term is born.

If I were you, I wouldnt sell it. find something else to sell. XBox360, ps3, old motorcycle, labtop or desktop. I am sure you could find something. Heck give blood. I hear the blood bank need people.

I always sell stuff to my friends for LESS than what it is worth. That's just me.
