Question about off roster handgun transfer

So my cousin from Arizona bought a handgun for me that is off roster. I was wondering how to legaly transfer it from him in az to me here in southern california.
I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six.

Can't, unless YOU are exempt from the Roster.

AZ to CA is interstate transfer; interstate transfer must go through CA FFL; off-Roster is not permitted.

CA resident to CA resident via PPT is exempt from the roster, but your cousin is not a CA resident.

Intrafamilial, even interstate intrafamilial, is exempt from the Roster - but 'cousin' is not 'family' for the law - that's child/parent/grandparent only.

illegal...since its being done to circumvent ATF regulations and CA transfer laws... too bad this thread was here as proof of the conspiracy to defraud the system...

          SSE?

Wouldn't the legal way to do the transfer be via SSE or is that only when purchasing from a dealer?

              1. Your cousin makes the handgun into a dimensionally compliant single-shot pistol or dimensionally compliant single-action revolver.
              2. You find a CA FFL dealer willing to accept a shipment from a private party and does SSE transfers.
              3. Your cousin ships the dimensionally compliant single-shot pistol/single-action revolver to your CA FFL dealer.
              4. When the shipment arrives, you go to your CA FFL dealer and he transfers it to you (4473/DROS/10 day wait).
