I have a two story home. All of my guns are safely stored in a safe and my hd pistol near my bed. I want to put another hd gun downstairs for quick access. I have a family room formal room and a office downstairs. How do you guys safely store your gun without being noticed? I bought a gunvault speed vault but I don't have any place stealthy enough to install it. Any advice would be appreciated.

How tall are you? I am 6'4" and have a very different perspective on the house than my 5'7" wife. I can put a gun on top of a room divider and lay a newspaper on it and no one will see it.
As for the best place to keep a firearm indoors, I find an IWB holster on my hip works in every room and no one knows it is there."If Jesus had a gun he would be alive today"-Homer Simpson -
Holster works well.
Also, if you have a downstairs bathroom, i've always wanted to try keeping a G26 in a ziploc baggie, duct taped to the inside of the toilet tank... heheeheheheThis business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.Comment

i'm going to buy one of those mantle clocks where the clock face folds down to an open compartment. the non ebay ones actually look pretty nice and appear to be just a standard clock to compliment your room. some of them even have a small key lock to keep the kids out.
you can also look in to the small safes that mount in the wall between your wall studs, just hang a picture over it. i'm going to do one of those too eventually so there's a gun in the living room, bathroom, and bedroom. paranoid or prepared?I don't own any guns...they're dangerous.
