    Special precautions at ONT?

A friend is picking up a daughter tonight at Ontario airport. Anything special about having firearm in vehicle just to pick-up someone? Locked in rear locking box inside locked storage inside locked rear of vehicle, no mag in firearm, no rounds in chamber.

Random vehicle stops/checks? Airport property (roads, pick-up areas) subject to special restrictions? Should he just leave everything at home? CCW also OK or no go, again for same reasons, locations?

Ont isnt like lax or other big airports. If he drives in, picks up and leaves he shouldnt have an issue. If he parks at the curb, walks inside, and leaves the car, issue. Ive never had an issue at ONT.

The only thing he might do is use the free "cell phone" parking which I guess is sort of a "waiting" area till you get texted your party is at the curb waiting. Other than that, just a drive-through basically.

Trying to search for laws, regs. but the airport website is really slow and sucks. Also any CCW restrictions like at a post office, fed building. Not sure what to tell him.

Stay in the car and you are fine. If you have a CCW you can carry it right up to the ticket agent. In Florida the gun needs to be locked up on ANY airport grounds, CCW or not. Always good to check the rulez, they do vary.
