I have a Glock 17 and just got a Remington 870 with a pistol grip and just curious what others think. Lets assume you live alone or dont have to worry about family in other rooms of your home. You own both a shotgun and a handgun when you are in your bedroom and someone breaks in. Which one would you grab for defense?

It would be the shotgun for me loaded with 00 and #4 buck ....... Or both ............. yeah bothI'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six.

Handgun in a bedside GunVault (in my case, it's a .357 revolver) is there for quick/easy access. If time permits, it acts as an escort to my safe where the 870 and Px4 stand at the ready alongside the rifles. If time does not allow, it's grab, aim, and fire; all while laying in bed if necessary. I do have kids in the house and close neighbors, so my lines of fire are all pre-calculated.Originally posted by MezcalfudBecause a Glock looks great in the case and then when you take it home it feels like you're holding a Costco pack of Kielbasa.Comment
