    Spray Paint vs .22 blanks...

I noticed something funny (at least it struck me as funny) the other day at Orchard Supply.

I was there to buy a couple of cans of spray paint, but since the spray paint is locked up I had to hunt around for someone to come unlock the cabinet for me.

Later, while wandering around the store picking up some other supplies, I came across the nail-guns and noticed that there was a whole shelf filled with all different kinds of .22 blanks used in the nail guns.

It just struck me as funny that they had the spray paint locked up but not all the little boxes of .22 blanks!
If you know how many guns you have... you don't have enough guns.

People need to remember that the same guys who wrote the 1st Amendment, also wrote the 2nd Amendment... and for the same exact reasons.

They also keep the compressed air lock up for basically the same reason.

Is huffing a big problem in CA? I always thought spray paint was locked up to stop theft by under-aged taggers?

Both - they huff and tag with the paint, and huff the compressed air (which I never have figured out)

The compressed air isn't huffed. It is inhaled directly from the canister and gives almost immediate feelings of light headedness and intense drunk-like effects that last only about 45 seconds depending on how much was inhaled. You also get this crazy ringing sound in your ears similar to this "whoooommp whooomp whooomp." And yes, I tried it once in high school at some party. It wasn't all that exciting but it was funny watching the high school skanks drunk off 1 bottle of strawberry hill do it.

I always assumed that the paint was locked up to 'prevent' tagging (it seems to work about as well as gun laws preventing crime)

But I still find it funny that the .22 blanks were just sitting on the shelf in stacks (far easier to shot-lift then a can of spray paint). No one is going to huff or tag with blanks, but there are still all sorts of fun/illegal things that one could do.

Just seems like an oddity to me.

gold and silver is the best for huffing. it is better because of the metallics. huffing i dont think is that big of a problem in cal. or at least in my county. huffing is big in places like new mexico and arizona.

for 1 of myjobs i work at Home Depot. everyonce so often a package of those blanks comes apart and they fall on the floor. its pretty funny when one is accdently run over by a heavy cart or forklift
