    Bakersfield Gun Show

Any body going to the gun show this weekend? If so are they any good. I think I will drive down and check it out, I'm in the market for a XP-100 in .221 fireball so I will be on the lookout for one.

I haven't been in a couple of years but Dave from Golden Empire Arms is going to be there with some lowers. I might go just to see if I can get some primers and or powder cheaper than I can order online (I doubt it).

I haven't seen an XP in any of these shows yet, I have one in 223 that I use for ground squirrels.

I'll be there, but I had to incorporate the trip with a visit to the daughter and grandkids. The oldest grandson will probably be there with me. I'm usually just in the market for cheap ammo. The wife is a little ticked about the .223 I just bought so I gotta get my head low for a bit.

I haven't been to the Bakersfield show in over a year, typically it's doody in terms of what is available even with respect to ammo.

I'd like to pick up 1-2k rounds of Wolf 55grn or south african 308 if I saw it at a good price.

Now days, if I need to fill my desire to goto a gunshow I typically goto the Ventura gunshow that has different promoters. Usually bigger, 2-3 buildings with people bringing actual guns.

Your better bet might be to wait for 2nd Amendment Sports to do their April 1st sale with no sales tax.

A 7.5% discount from their retail prices? Ouch, no deal there. I looked at a 1 Lb can of H380 last year there and they wanted $28.

I can get 8 Lbs of H380 powders from Powder Valley for about $111 and even with the hazmat fee and shipping it will run me about $150 which is $18.75/Lb. Since I buy powder and primers together I can spread the the HazMat fee over more items and so it's even cheaper.
