Used handgun from a Dealer Question

If I were to buy a used handgun from a dealer, does it still fall under the one per 30 days policy?

Second, If I buy a used gun from an online broker, send it to a local FFL, does that fall under the one per 30 days policy?

    Thanks guys.

Depends. If it's from the dealers inventory then yes. If it's a consignment gun run as a PPT then no.

YES. I can't think of a case where it wouldn't

      Thanks Jim.

What about a PPT via an online auction that has to be shipped to an FFL

A PPT is only a PPT if both parties, who are CA residents, meet face-to-face at a local FFL to conduct the transfer.

It's helpful to think of handgun sales in terms of the number of people involved. New/used doesn't matter.

Buyer and Dealer - 1 in 30 days applies (2 parties).

Buyer and Seller (and Dealer because CA says so) - 1 in 30 exempt (3 parties).

From out of state, treat it as Buyer and Dealer.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
