    Alaska State Troopers S4/Ep13

Mods please move if I am in the wrong area...

Was watching tonight and about 47 minutes into it a Trooper is getting ready to go out to check some commercial fisherman. The trooper takes his AR out and as he is getting on their patrol boat the camera zooms in on the rifle with a full mag, inserted, and weapon off safe!!! Did anyone else see this?

You would think they would know what condition their rifles were in...

Even if it was condition three, his selector switch should of still be on safe...

    End rant!

His AR was probably in what's commonly called in leo terms "Patrol Ready". Loaded mag in, chamber empty, safety off. 870's are carried the same way. When needed, takes a second to make the weapon(s) ready to fire.

No real difference than carrying a glock condition 1.

I don't agree with carrying a gun around with the safety off but it's the person who makes the gun unsafe, if it's a dept standard to carry condition 1 safety off then obviously they are well versed in how to safely do this. I doubt they would continue the trend if accidents happened.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Your trigger finger is your main safety, all others are redundant.

LOL... please unload your AR15 and place the selector to "safe". You now have your answer.

Only those of us with NFA LW-15 Gen-1s can do this.
