any educated anti gunners out there?

i find it really odd that the only people who know anything about guns are pro gun people. this leads me to believe that if anti gun people just got educated then they would change thier point of view

education is a big part of things, especially since many people base their knowledge on what they read in the news, and the media is extremely biased against gun owners and routinely run incorrect information.

people who advocate for a total repeal of the 2nd amendment and gun control standards like japan or australia are truely ignorant, it takes more than a half dozen fact correctors for them to realize their ways.

my GF works for SF gaurdian whcih is very anti gun, but she isnt buying any of their BS because i always correct their wrong facts and she is well aware of the need for the 2nd amendment. its pretty amazing when a self described "ultra lefty progressive" wants to learn how to shoot and asked for her own gun for self defense.

EVERY anti I've ever taken to a gun range has shifted at least a little in our direction.

When they get past the symbolism of a "GUN", and realize it's just a piece of metal that hurtles another piece of metal, it gets clearer.

Give an anti a .22 rifle with a red dot optic, 20 minutes, and 15 full magazines... with minimal anything but safety and manipulation support...

they shift at least slightly away from their position.

I always stick to facts in such discussions. Many antis are so indoctrinated by the media bias and inaccuracies that it is difficult for them to accept a differing view.

Most intelligent people will accept verified factual information, but some don't want to believe anything other than what the see on TV and base their opinions on fear and emotion.
