I found a place online (in all the insanity) that sells 80% lowers with the jig for about $340 anodized (thats AR10). Does that sound like a good deal?

If you can find one buy it if you think it is a good price. They are very scarce and the prices are going up fast."Gun control is not about guns, it is about control"

For AR-10 stuff it is a good deal. You will pay more for AR10 pattern uppers so you might consider a LR-308 80% lower unless you have your heart set on the Armalite pattern.Starve the beast, move to a free state.

Yes, if that is what you want. Tactical Machining's normal, non panic price for their 80% lower is $200 and the jig is $150. Depending upon your situation, you probably don't need a jig. If you go to a build party, you won't need one. You realize that it's cheaper (non-panic pricing and availability) to buy a completed lower than to buy and complete an 80% lower.Check back later for a witty comment.Comment

I have been looking for quite a while for an AR10 lower but all I could find in my area was a couple at ammo bros for over $500. Plus, I really like putting them together myself. I have been to a build party before with a CNC machine but they only had a jig for AR15's. I have checked tactical machining and they have non-anodized lowers but they are out of stock. If anyone knows where I can get a stripped AR10 lower in the IE area for less than $300 I would definitely want to go that route but with AR15 lowers advertised at $399 I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon, and with the libidiots in sacrapmento getting ready to ban everything I think it is going to get a lot worse for us, the rest of the country will probably be ok but I'm pretty sure we are screwed unless Brown grows a pair.Yes, if that is what you want.
