Self Healing material for a Bullet box

I've made some wooden bullet boxes filled with sand and I am looking for some self healing material to put on the front of the bullet box so the sand won't leak out after several shooting sessions.
Anyone know of what I could use to accomplish this?...and where can I buy the stuff?

    Thanks

Cut some rubber car tires and line it with it that should work.

Tandy leather sells a self healing black rubber matt. I know it works with knife cuts, can not say for certain about bullet impact though.

Good ideas...maybe a rubber door mat would work?

I went to the Tandy website and unfortunately could not find that item.

Thanks to all for your input.

I went to Harbor Freight and decided to try using their 2'x2' foam floor mats. The ones in a 4 pack that interlock together. They are about 1/2" thick and look to be compressed foam.
          For $10.00 it's worth a try.
