Where to get a paint job on your gun and the price???

So ive been thinking of painting a gun and i have no clue where to go and how much it will be. I thinking of woodland red camo for my ak type rifle. Should i go get the work done or should i do it myself??? If i decide to do it myself what kinds of paint would work best on a gun?? Yes i know i sound like a NOOB on this topic but thats why im turning to folks that know aka you guys lol

Phantom Finishing in Concord does great work. Pricing varies depending on the paint scheme you want. I had my rifle done there...had the stock painted in multicam and the barrel/action done in OD green and looks awesome. It cost me $660. The guys name is Loran and he uses Cerakote which is better than the duracoat stuff. Takes about 10 days tops.

I'd leave it stock before I attempted anything like that myself. Find a Cerakote service in your area if you must

I also know nothing about firearms refinishing.

I would have an expert do it... and do lots of research into the expert first.

everytime i sent a gun to get painted it wasnt up to my standards. so i decided to start doing it myself. then again i have major OCD and everything has to be absolutely perfect or it drives me crazy.

i prefer duracoat to cerakote for everything except for the slide of an auto pistol. cerakote doesnt work as well on plastic parts. also cerakote chips and scratches easier than duracoat. though neither are immune to surface abrasion. plus duracoat comes in about 10X more colors than cerakote.

i'll duracoat your rifle for $300 for a multi color cam job. $200 for solid color. it takes a week or so to get the paint and stencils and another week or so for me to do it.
