    savage axis .223 or .308

I've decided that I want to get a savage axis however, i'm stuck on whether to get it chambered in .223 or .308. I like the .223 because i reload for my AR-15 so I won't have to get a new set of dies if i got the .308 but i want the .308 for the power and distance and i'll have to get dies for it..... which way to go

i have the .308, great rifle, I would say get the .308 because it is such a good all around caliber. you could hunt just about anything with it at short and long distance also its an easy caliber to sell in the future if you wanted, people tend to purchase .308's in bolt action over .223. as far as reloading i reload for both calibers and the powders are interchangeable all your buying are dies and there not crazy expansive but you save a ton of money reloading .308 over reloading .223 its almost not worth reloading .223.

No problem good luck and have fun with which ever one you get, another way to solve this dilemma is to get both
