Pathway for brand new off roster purchase?

I am not in law enforcement but if I locate a brand new semi automatic pistol that is off roster LE sale only in one California gun store that does not do SSE, can it be shipped to another California gun store that has the SSE capability for that specific hand gun and purchase it legally that way?

Yes. I would talk to the store that does the SSE and pay them to buy and transfer the weapon into their possession. You will likely have to pay some type of service charge for them to turn a few bucks profit. You might just want to tell the SSE store to find you one from a wholesaler as the price will likely be much better.

If you talk to the non-SSE store about going through this process, they will likely just laugh at you, and send you on your way. It's all in the application and who you talk to...

    I don't think it's nice,...you laughing.
You see, my mule don't like people laughing.
He gets the crazy idea you're laughing at him.
Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to,
I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

      Neptune,
To initate the process, which GS would I make full payment to? I do expect add on fees for this transaction so obtaining an out the door price on my end and payment in full would be the right way to go? Do you forsee any disadvantages to this?

Your best bet would be to go to your LGS that does SSE and see if they can get it for you and just cut out the middleman. What gun were you looking to get?
