Sorry to hear the news... that person is a scum bag.

At least none of your guns were in the bag. Merry Xmas.

Where in SD? A couple cars in my neighborhood got windows broken and bags were taken. One was a diaper bag and the other a workout bag of all things. My POS car the next night, made off with a stereo and cd changer. Luckily I didn't lock the doors because I live in a decent area, so no broken window. I think they are out looking for Xmas gifts. That's some BS!

I am Paranoid at leaving anything of value Especially my toys in my truck. A few weeks ago when I went to pickup a case of 556 and had to leave it in the truck in the parking lot and had to retuen back into store to pickup something I forgot to get also. To make the anxiety worst, the store was packed with customers and I had to wait over 1/2hr just to check out..

never leave a range bag in a car...never leave anything you are not willing to lose in a car.

my neighbor leaves his firearms in his trunk all the time..for weeks at a time. he justifies this by saying they have never been stolen.

The town I live in they will bust out a window for a pair of cheap sunglasses.. I generally take my old F250 dump run truck into town at night. AM/FM, have zero in it. Don't even lock the door so they don't break out the window to only discover there's nothing in it.

How many people here make sure to keep the items out of site, but will leave the garage remote clipped to the visor?

Sure fire way to get your garage broken into. If you are away from home all they need is your registration from the glove box or a piece of mail and a garage remote.

Don't worry, I am not telling the thieves anything. They already know this trick.

I leave absolutely nothing in my car for that reason. They still pried the lock out of the door on my Mustang, got a couple bucks in change. Couple weeks later they got in my Escort, this time they went in the trunk too. I keep a full tool bag and an "overnight" bag just in case. They took a Flashlight, a Flask, and a clean change of clothes. Nothing to loose sleep over but It still pisses me off

I had someone break the window of my old 510 just to steal the AM radio (no FM, even in the days of casette). Some people will cause damage and steal just about anything just to be a pain.
