...the media has covered a shooting of 2 fireman in New York, a shooting of a cop in Houston and a report of a man in camos carrying a rifle in Walmart.

I did not see any of their coverage of the approx. 6849 times a day someone thwarts a crime with a gun in this country.

How do we possibly fix this?

Until people get their morals right again, the only thing the media wants is ratings. Bad **** gets great ratings. Plain and simple.

Video of people using firearms to prevent crimes also gets ratings. Get some ATM footage of a patron drawing on a robber, for example, and that can get air time.
