    I'm new. Advice needed.

    I have a rifle and a shot gun that I want to sell.

    Do I need to go to a dealer and sell by consignment?

      No, you can post what you have for sale in the Private Firearms Sales located in the market place section of this forum.

      when a buyer is found you then arrange to meet at a ffl dealer and do a private party transfer.

      You will get a much better price this way.

          Yup, term got it right. List it up, make sure to complete at an FFL; good luck w/ your sales.

              CalGuns is a great place to sell your guns. Craigslist, other want-ads, consignment, online gun auctions, lots of places to sell.

              And has already been said here, meet at a FFL dealer to perform the Person to Person Transfer legally.
