    I challenge you…

To donate to your favorite 2A or Gun Organization right now.

I know times are tough and we are all feeling the financial pinch especially at Christmas but I would encourage you to donate anything you can to your favorite 2A or gun organization to keep your rights from being infringed upon.

I have been reading the news, watching the media and listing to political speeches and it is an all out war against the 2nd Amendment right now. They are using the incident in Connecticut as a springboard for their agenda. It makes no sense to me why a horrific event that affects less than 1% of the population would equate to more regulation and control for law abiding citizens. It is the equivalent to someone who kills with a car, so let’s outlaw all cars or make more regulations and restrictions for cars. And that reduces cars and the availability to car for law abiding citizens. It’s just plain stupid what is happening here… or is it?

If you look at the bigger picture and not guns but what is happening here is, our rights are being limited and subjugated to people who are in favor of greater governmental control for its citizenry. It was President Eisenhower who warned us about the Military Industrial Complex. What he meant by that… is the military would become so big it would become a juggernaut of power consuming all in its path. Well I think he was right to some extent but I think if you substitute the word government for military you would have more of an accurate account of what is currently happening in our political climate. We have a Government Industrial Complex where government is the be all and end all, which scares me tremendously. Government is big business and business is good. You know I heard Jesse Ventura ask the question, “Can you think of anything in your life that the government does not affect?” The resounding answer on that interview was No… everything is affected or influenced by government to some extent.

The great thing about the United States is our constitution and our ability to come together as a people and fight tyranny and oppression. I am not willing to give up my God Given Rights and I encourage you to stand up and do the same.

After a week of being inundated with anti-gun messages, it occurred to me that that it’s not prevention they are talking about but its restriction, regulation and control they want. They want to limit the average citizen not the bad guys. I doubt they care less about the bad guys but it is the greater population they want to control. That’s the real message here.

Fighting comes in many forms… Speaking out, financial donations, coming together for a common principle, writing & calling your local and district representatives, voting, speaking to friends & family, trying to persuade anti-gun people “in a nice way” that gun regulation is really people control, speak out on the many social media forms (facebook, twitter, ect) and as a last option when there is not other option… through force (hide your guns, just kidding…kind of). I am NOT advocating violence in any sense. What I am advocating for is fighting for our rights and liberties that are guaranteed to us by the U.S. Constitution. I am a veteran and I was sworn to uphold the Constitution. So here I am fighting the way I know how… through communication, organization and financial donation.

Today I joined the NRA for 2 years and gave them a $50 dollar donation (It’s all I could afford right now considering it’s the holidays or I would have given more). I will also buy a membership to GOA and donate what I can next paycheck.

Today I challenge you to join or donate what you can to your favorite 2A or Gun Association to keep our rights and liberties in tact. It’s going to be a fight but I think as Americans we are capable and able to keep this great nation free.

Thank You for reading my rant and accepting my challenge
