FB arguments

I find it amazing how some people can be so stupid. I am constantly having these fb arguments with these people. They don't realize how much they are hurting themselves. If our guns go, so does the country.

I only had one person on my facebook say anything that isn't progun on my face book. I might defriend her as she also voted for BHO.

I hear ya, I got into a couple debates on FB. I don't get political on their at all and was silent through the election, but after seeing how misinformed people were I felt it was necessary to bring the facts out. I have actually successfully brought a few people to our side by doing this. I did this by remaining calm, avoiding name calling or insults, and stating the facts. I clarified what an assault weapon is, and also have been providing facts on the good guns do and the reason why an AR15 and other "evil" rifles are so popular. You can't win them all over but maybe those people who I won over will also win a few people over to get us some more support.

Yup, I defriended two. One guy was from Canada and tried to tell me how great his country was compared to the US. I used the Canadian wiki page and Canadian Crime Wiki page to prove everything he said wrong. He then told me I was just attacking him because I was a American racist, and thats the reason we need to give up our guns.

Another ex-friend was so bat-crap crazy anti-gun liberal I nearly fell off the chair. Her husband and her father were close friends of mine. Both US Army and extreme patriots, RIPX2. She was posting stuff from the Brady camp, each time I disproved it with actual links to get the real information... ARs are full auto,... the .223 is the most powerful rifle round made...it explodes inside humans and was made to do that..Australia has no gun crime since they banned guns... She asked me to stop commenting on her post, and I told her to stop spreading lies and I would.

People have very firm opinions regarding gun ownership in this country. I have decided it is not a discourse worth having. You will not be able to change opinions just piss people off.

My mother is an extreme anti. My brother in law is not. They have been at each other's throats over this in FB with everyone in the extended family watching in horror. She is unfriending him and they are pissed at each other. We are all eating at my house for Christmas (mom is cooking), and my mother told him one more word on this and his meal might have some extra ingredients. Good times!

My decision to NEVER start on FB makes me so happy..
