    Handguns bought in 1975 registration

If a friend bought a few handguns at a gunstore in the 1970's and the required paperwork was done, do you think the state or the feds have any records of the purchase after 30+ years?8

If you bought them through an FFL in CA, yes, the state does have the records

Might not be accurate, but the info was sent to Sac; they've gone through a couple of cycles of key-entering the paper stuff from before almost all DROS info was required to go electronically. Don't know how far they have gone back.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

My first revolver that I bought in 1977 was in AFS.
