well you can sell it for more than you paid or you can get some ammo and mags for a little more than they used to cost.

IMHO you would be a fool to sell it. be patient and search internet dealers as well as gun show and gun shops. you have a verry popular gun in a verry popular caliber. I'm sure you will be able to find everything you want for your gun
you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hand!

I completely understand you. Im a veteran shooter and just about feel the same. Im on hold, not buying or selling, not because of the threat of losing guns shortly but to really think if the struggle is worth it or not.

I feel as bad and sick as anyone about recent events and i havent even touched my guns at all. Im sick about the prospect of a full ban, sick that anyone should die in aggression, sick that honest gun owners are being held responsible for acts of madmen, sick that people and govt cant separate these and think clearly about solutions, sick that gun owners have fully become persona non gratis in the eyes of the population, sick that acts of a few should dictate the acts and rights of the many, sick that our government is forcing unwanted and unneeded evolution. There is plenty to be sick and ill about. I am.

Within this I consider what it really means to have and use firearms and what im willing to do or not do to hang on to these rights and priviledges. My suggestion only, think about this, not mags. This will give you the answer.

Try backordering ammo. Last night I ordered 1200rds of MFS .223 @ $6.99 per 20rds + free shipping. Got it from Cabela's while it was still in stock. It's a reasonable price IMO with everything that's going on right now. I've shot 500rds through my AR and it all went bang. So it's decent ammo.

Guns are assets, rarley do they depreciate.
There is a lot of up and down energy in motion right now.(emotion)
Set rules for yourself. If your asset increases xyz% sell and likewise set % for deprecation.
Apply strict buy/sell rules for your assets and you may rest easier without all the energy in motion.(emotion)

Now, of course you never want to be without at least one rifle.
Look at popularity of sks recently. How many can you buy with $ from ar sale?
They will go up in $.

I make my own ammo and so should everyone who shoots and collects guns.
