    NRA, you've boned it

You have no idea what damage you've just done to your credibility and ability to represent the millions of people who are members of your organization by coming out and publicly declaring 'violent video games' an enemy. You've just made an enemy of 100s of millions of non-gun owning Americans might be have been sympathetic to the cause of preserving civil rights.

    Stupid *****.

Yeah, there was more to the message. The most damning was suggesting we get children used to a constant police presence - that way, they can grow up to be good passive sheep. Let's make sure every citizen feels powerless without that "blanket of safety".

Blame the media and put a police presence in every school in the country? Really?

Yes,really. The same media which wants us disarmed and is blatantly deceiving people with words like "semi automatic assault rifle" has no problem using the tragedy of dead kids to boost their ratings, complete with stock footage of crying mothers and cops with ARs. Pehaps their anti-gun stance would have some credibility if these same channels stopped airing Terminator movies.

As for guns and cops in the schools,I'd rather live with that then another repeat of Conneticutt. I dont care if the good guy with a gun is a cop, teacher,or bystander with a CCW permit,as long as a good man or woman with a gun is there to stop the bad guy.Whats so bad about that?
The more prohibitions you have, the less virtuous people will be.
The more subsidies you have, the less self reliant people will be.

                  Ha ha.

All the wailing and gnashing of teeth seems to come from one direction...

I wouldnt lose any sleep over it. The real fight will come in Congress.

And if all you heard was 'blame violent video games' you must have an incredible case of selective hearing.

I understood the message that we all play a part, some more than others(games for kids, movies, celebs, athletes) and this needs to be acknowledged by mainstream media.
Regarding school security, I heard a message that its up to the community at the local level, to decide whats best, not federal bureaucrats. Not a blanket policy.
Different places may want/need police while others prefer certified parents, groups, militias..etc
We can do this without federal $!

'Destory the First Amendment' is that same sort of ignorant hyperbole I would expect from people that would do the same to the Second.

And those people, including our President, are very real and very busy right now.

I've been playing computer and video games longer than some of you have been alive so don't tell me I don't get it.

You have games now that the object, not a side quest or easter egg but the OBJECT, is to kill random people, kill the hooker after having sex with her and stealing her money after she's dead and running down random people.

Don't give me that innocent crap, I've watched video games progress from black and white cube art up to points and money for slaughter.

If the medium of art in any fashion, video games, movies, pictures or drawings have no effect on people why did Gabe and Tycho draw this cartoon?
To reach people and influence them?
Ooopps! Just shoved your foot way the heck up the backside of your own defense!

Go watch 'Saw' or 'Hostel' and tell me movies aren't becoming more graphically violent and inuring people to violence, murder and mayhem.

Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.

Sure, let's convince future generations that they're only safe if the police are there. Makes sense.....
