i'll tell you what I think, and, maybe it's something new here, maybe not...i get the impression many of the people who want to see a ban on AW are singling out that particular firearm on it own
i've heard many of them endorse having handguns, especially for home protection, so, yes, it is confusing to me also...when you blame a specific instrument, it gets complicated...so, in this case, it seems like its the individual firearm, and, not ALL firearms...that seems to be their cry, for now
of course, once the door is open, they'll just target another one and do the same thing...they'll never be happy
just a possible explanation as to why someone who is a gun owner themselves may have an issue with the AR's and AK'ssigpic -

A skeleton in a woman's closet is something along the lines of "I did a 100 man gang bang in junior college and I liked it." That video about Feinstein doesn't subsequently reveal a "skeleton," but a political double standard that can have serious impacts on the rights of American citizens. Just because we're not political fat cats or high profile celebrities doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to protect ourselves...

Most liberals and conservatives agree with the idea of home protection with a firearm. Even the SCOTUS has codified home use of a firearm as legally protected under the Constitution. Attacking that aspect of gun ownership is a cultural non-starter. On the other hand Military patterned rifles are Public Enemy #1 currently, so its acceptable to be rabidly opposed to legal ownership of those.
Its also a divide and conquer tactic-she's not attacking home defense , just those unnecessary and evil military patterned rifles. People who watch this and own a 12 gauge to guard the home will tune out the entire legal fight against a renewed AWB.The more prohibitions you have, the less virtuous people will be.

It is a "Marie Antoinette" mentality. She might as well have said "Let them eat cake" It shows how much they are out of touch and elitist. We worry about fuel prices, she has the government fill her jet.
We have to conserve water, she has two water meters, with a separate water meter on her property that she does not have to pay for. She is out of touch, and does not care.Comment
