Adaptive Carbine Platform

From Sig Sauer ,adds an extended top rail and a bottom rail to most any standard semi pistol. The vendor says it isn't legal here ,and I cannot see why.

Any ideas from the legal beagles on here?

The model without the stock is legal in Cal. At least as of today, stay tuned though.
A better question: why would you want one? Buy a very nice used Glock for what it costs just about.

The model without a stock looks a lot like the definition of a barrel shroud:

...partially or fully encircling the barrel so that the user does not burn their hands, excluding a recripricating slide...

I didn't want to maglock my Sig.

Also, the plastic (!!!) rail adaptor didn't fit the rails of my p226 or my p229 so I returned it.
