I was there early this morning and they only had 5 boxes of the 7.62 (tula) and a few boxes of 45 acp, no 9mm and a few more boxes of 40cal.

There is a bunch of ammo up here in the Monrovia and Azusa Walmarts. 5.56/.223 is scarce though.

Santee's walmart has a ton of ammo stacked up. There is more there now then they have had in a while.

I bought 1k of 40 of calguns for $220 and 1k of .45 for $300. That was a few months ago and I'm glad I did. 12k of ammo is not enough and wife just Drosed a "nine" a few days ago which I have no ammo for fml.

Same as 4 years ago. An ammo shipment would show up and be gone in less than an hour. Get ready for it because it will stay this way until the ban is done with clear details or gone.

Well at least the panic buying is helping to stimulate the economy. Isn't that what the Obama wanted? He's got to be the greatest gun & ammo salesman on record. The NRA should give him an award for that.

Walmart in Mountain View was short on a lot of ammo (had lots of 40 though) but the guy said he was expecting to be fully restocked on Sunday morning.

I was at the Red Bluff distribution center yesterday and asked about ammo. They said they ship it out as fast as they can get it. No plans to stop selling in CA contrary to a recent rumor.

What has been working fairly well for me is to have a store manager scan the ammo product key for 5.56 or whatever ammo your looking for and then have them locate what store has it in stock electronically. Then ask if they can call the store to verify the inventory.

My last purchase late tonight was not seen on the shelf although the scanner from another Walmart said they had over 45 boxes on hand. It was under the counter.

Try it and see if that helps any. You may have to do some traveling.

Was at the one in Orangevale yesterday. Out of bulk packs of .22lr and .223, one or two boxes of 7.62x39, a few boxes of 9mm left which i promptly grabbed, still tons of .40s&w, and the rest shotgun ammo and hunting ammo for rifle.

Didn't this happen about 4 or 5 year ago? Everything gone but 12 ga and 357 sig.
                            Great, here we go again.

Bummer. Shopping today and my Wally Ammo case was stocked.

I even helped a lady buy the ammo she needed for her hubbies Xmas list.
Also politely educated a 30 year Wally employee that the "gr" on the ammo box was bullet weight and not powder amount.
