Rap Censorship

I was driving late night to the store to pick up some groceries, my CD player is broken in my truck. I turn on the radio and just press buttons and I end up on Power 105.9, a rap station. I normally listen to 80's type music but I was in the mood. A song by the rapper 50 Cent (I might be mistaken) was on I am listening to it and I hear something of the sort "One hand on the steering wheels another on my ________" I have heard this song before the lyrics were obvious "Another on my gun" They censored the word gun. I kept on listening to the song and they didn't censor out the word "a_s", "damn", sexual references.

So god forbid anyone hears the word "gun" in a song but the profanity, obscene references, drug references/endorsements, and racial language is acceptable?

This is nothing new.. been like this for years. MTV, BET, VH1 doesnt allow any guns in videos anymore, and they mute out any references to guns. Samething on the radio. It's ridiculous. Everyone knows what they're saying.

Every now and then they will play old videos and it's funny to see how many guns used to be in videos..

I solved this issue by not listening to rap music. Ever. The entire songs should be one long beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

file a complaint with the fcc about there being "bad" words on the radio.


and yes the fcc does look into these things.
might not due anything as it would voliate some knee-grows someting or the other.

God I hate rap. No, hate is not strong enough. But, they are free to do it of course.

MTV censored out some lyrics about shooting and even blurred Dave Mustain's hand in a Megadeth video.

Its funny, there used to be this popular rap song, ony lyric was, Im riding shotgun with a shotgun, and they would bleep out the second "shotgun" because it was a gun reference, not a position in the car, same word, DUH
