I think too often people are very quick to let everyone know when they receive poor service but slow to praise good service if they do it at all.
I just got home from Reed's in San Jose where I purchased an M1A Scout Squad. When I arrived at 3pm there was a line of about 5 at the counter and by the time I left there were 25+ folks waiting.
The staff was exceptionally patient with a number of customers who were very clearly of limited experience with the process or the products. As you might imagine many of the questions had to do with upcoming legislation. I heard no FUD from the staff. The answers were limited to either "we don't know how broad a ban might be if one is passed" to explanations of what was banned last time around.
An interesting side point. One of the staff told me that the family that owns Reed's is committed to NOT raising their markup to take advantage of what is going on. Of course if their suppliers change their prices they should be justified in increases to maintain their margins.
My transaction was handled rather quickly as I knew what I wanted going in and merely had to chose between synthetic or wood stock. The processing of the paperwork was quick, the explanations were thorough without being tedious or pedantic.
Anyway, just wanted to put this out there. We've had a lot of bad news of late and thought it would be good to put something positive out there.
