Cheaper Than Dirt Ends Firearms Sales

    From their Facebook page:

Cheaper Than Dirt! is suspending online sales of firearms effective immediately. We are reviewing our policy internally, and will continue to be the leader in the outdoor industry with our full line of gear and accessories.
I personally find them irrelevant as a reseller these days. They charge outrageous shipping when an item comes from multiple warehouses (of theirs), they won't sell a ton of things to California for no good reason (for example water filters) or stupid reasons (firearms parts... not firearms but parts) etc. I doubt I'm alone and I would think they have lost a lot of their customer base. there's nothing they sell that I can't get somewhere else ... and usually cheaper.

I wonder if they are hurting in general and this is just a play for attention? Or are they in fact still doing well?

They're stopping sales so they markup certain guns by 20-300%. Look what they're doing with ammo and mags.

hmmm. $30 for a black 30-rd pmag... sounds right. $60 for one in Dark Earth does seem a little bit ridiculous.

The rest just look like their normal overpricing.

Suspending online because they can move everything they get their hands on in their retail store without the hassle of shipping. I wont spend a nickel with them.

cheaper than dirt has never been that for me. I used to buy BVAC 10mm bulk ammo from them because I couldn't find another source. Shipping prices are insane. CTD is no longer in my "Favorites". They can suck it.

I would buy local anyway. I feel I need to support the small businesses so that is where my money is going to.

Some people on their Facebook page said they sold two guns to an FFL whose license had expired and possibly sold the guns to the shooter's mom. Anybody else hear this?
