    Sending a Message

A lot of messages are being sent via various internet forums and social sites, and the media proposeing gun control.

A so-called NRA backed Senator, Joe Scarborough, Mayor Villagairosa, carrying on about buybacks, magazine bans, assualt weapons bans. School policeing. I mean it seems like the whole country is pissing its pants.

These events have been non-stop and relentless.

My question is what are we doing, going to do, and when? I think a response is needed and it needs to be strong.

Any and all commments are welcomed.

Everything at this point is speculation, saber-rattling, hysterics of a knee-jerk reaction, and a lot of pitching of ideology of what extreme Anti-2nd Amendment crowds want to do.

And then there is reality. Let's wait to see what is actually on the table before contributing to meaningless chatter, political posturing, and a pointless defense before we even know what we are defending against. Case in point is Feinstein; she is make some broad statements, but that doesn't make a bill or law. Since the NRA doesn't have Obama's ear, we have to approach talks about this issue methodically. I hate to say it but we are on the reactionary platform at the moment and best not to overreact.

Give me your maps, tell me your direction you want to take, and I'll tell you about a shortcut. But if I don't know where you are going how can I get you there?

I was thinking along the lines of, hey we are just as sorry as the rest of the country about this senseless tragedy, but you need to find another scapegoat than banning guns because it will not be tolerated.

Maybe I got a little tin -foil problem going on right now and I hope I do, but it is really hard for me to believe that we are not going to suffer in some way for this. We are taking a tongue lashing everywhere and have no response. I think that just emboldens them more. Just my .02

Id feel real good to know that the NRA and the rest of the orgs that represent actually had something going on.
