Ok, here's a couple of pics of the Astra I just got my grubbies on. As you can see the grips are not typical in shape although the weapon is otherwise just a normal Firecat. It's about 80% in appearance but has almost no wear and the barrel is still shiny. There is one area in the bore which may be dirt but could be shallow pitting. I'll know for sure after cleaning.

I still need info on how to get the firing pin and chamber indicator out of the slide. I'm having no luck playing Sherlock on this and it's got me stumped. I should also pull the extractor as well and I think all that's required is to pull the pivot pin from the bottom/inside of the slide with pliers.

Yes. VERY nicely too. It has a really snappy recoil and sensitive trigger (almost too sensitive).

I like the little thing. I can wear it concealed under my swim trunks at the beach.

If it's anything like my Astra Cub, there is a small pin on the top of the slide behind the breech that holds the firing pin in place. The pin is driven in, not out, allowing the pin removal from the rear.

See, THIS is what changing to a better computer monitor will get you. I found the secret decoder file hidden in the dark area of the detail parts diagram. Or at least it was dark on MY old monitor.

The pin is located behind the extractor spring. PUll the extractor pivot pin, catch the spring and there's the pin ready to knock out (once the crud is removed - it's REALLY UGLY in there)

Anyone know if automotive parts dip is bad for bluing? This thing NEEDS a good soaking.
