What do you do with "Fancy" ammo??

I am into reloading... I got a fair amount of "Fancy" bullets such as the ones listed below given to me.

• Winchester Silvertip HP (.357 Mag)
• Hornady XTP/HP (9mm)
• Remington Golden Saber HP (9mm)

Probably 150-200 rounds total of each. I loaded them up and chrono'd them up to nuke levels for their respective cartridge. I don't hunt, I don't have my CCW, and I load my HD guns with factory ammo. These bullets are pretty costly and I don't want to just punch paper with them. So now what do I do with 500-600 rounds of awesome HP ammo? Wait for the Chinese invasion?

What do you guys do with your "Fancy" ammo whether purchased or reloaded?

I think most people are just punching paper or steel when using "fancy ammo". Even those with their CCW.

If they are real flamethrowers, use some of the stash for practice. Different loads can feel a lot different and impact recoil, muzzle flash, noise level and function of your firearm.

I loaded quite a bit of 185 xtp for my 45. And stashed it...you know....just incase.

The projectiles were given to me... otherwise it's xtreme plated bullets for me!

Agreed. Try to duplicate your store bought home defense loads with these defense bullets and practice practice practice.

XTP is great range ammo, and at $20 per 100, I wouldn't necessarily consider it expensive or fancy.
