5 victims, 1 dead, plus the shooter also commited suicide......

After the gunman shot himself in the head, Miller said a "hero kicked the gun away" and then started first aid.

How exactly is this heroic? The guy was already down, a clear loser, and then you try to revive him? Its too easy to be a hero these days.... the media has completely ruined anything positive and meaningful about that word. How about beating him down BEFORE he shoots everyone and himself?

Thats fine, but the line I quoted said he started first aid on the nutcase, or at least that is how I understood it.
