Wifes first rifle - Xmas present

I purchased a Stainless Sig 232 for my wife about 10 years ago. I installed Hogue rubber grips on it for her and since then it has sat, and to this day has never been fired. Recently she has mentioned that she would like to go shooting. She also mentioned that on her Bucket List was to be gun certified.....I kind of laughed and told her we could go shooting then when she was comfortable with it and had studied the handgun safety book she could take the handgun safety test and we could have the gun transfered into her name. I figured since she already had a great handgun, that she needed her first rifle. Here it is...she not big into Pink but I think she is going to like it.

    M&P 15-22
    Pink Ergo Grip
    Pink Ergo Rail Covers
    Magpul Angled Foregrip
    Simmons 1x30 Red/Green/Blue Dot

big congrats to her and you brother. I would love to get my wife into shooting... shes against it but fully supports my gun habit and me teaching our 4 sons about guns, gun safety etc... I told her next year I will buy my 9 year old his first rifle... I am thinking a matching Marlin 795 like daddy hehe. I love reading stories like this... Bless you and your family this holiday season. Merry Christmas.

Two years ago bought a Glock 35C and last year bought a Mossberg 500 20ga for my wife. This year she has asked for a Marlin 795. Fun times!

Nice. I was thinking about picking up a pink rifle for my old lady as well.

          great call on going .22

newer shooters prefer the light recoil, cheaper for you

when she wants a .223, she can ask for it herself
